Aluminum oxide produces less dust while using in the blasting process as compared to other abrasives. Virgin Aluminum Oxide is more expensive as compared to commercial grade.

For surface preparation to use aluminum oxide grit both compressed air machine and wheel blasting machine are used. Sand blasting cabinet and blast room systems are used to collect aluminum oxide abrasive media for reuse, and various attachments like screw conveyors and bucket elevator are utilized to collect blasting material simply. In the blasting process which size of aluminum oxide is used is depends upon the nozzle size used in the machine. If the blasting media size is larger than the nozzle size in this condition no blasting is done and media damage the nozzle.

Black Aluminum Oxide Grit

Black aluminum oxide grit is a type of aluminum oxide which is fused in an electric arc to increase toughness. Black aluminum oxide grit is a semi-durable type abrasive. Black aluminum oxide grit used in many applications and it forms less dust during the process. For recycling of black aluminum oxide, it is used in Sand Blasting Machine and if the component size is very large then the grit blast room system is preferable. Black aluminum oxide grit is used to provide excellent surface finishing.

Brown aluminum oxide grit is a type of aluminum oxide having different compositions and properties. Brown aluminum oxide is made of high-strength, tough, and extremely durable grain aluminum oxide fused in an electric arc furnace. This type of aluminum oxide grit is useful in many applications. Brown-fused aluminum oxide is a loose gain and general-purpose blasting media that is used in abrasive blasting, polishing, lapping, or other finishing applications.

Brown aluminum oxide grit offers multiple recall abilities before it breaks down in fine grains. To collect brown aluminum oxide for reuse blasting cabinet and blast room system are used. White Aluminum Oxide Grit

White aluminum oxide grit (white fused alumina) is created using the same process as black and brown aluminum oxide only difference is that higher purity alumina is used in the composition. White aluminum oxide grit contains virtually no iron content present in it which makes it a safe abrasive for applications that require minimal foreign contamination.
